Dr Dilhan Töredi awarded an Early Career Grant by the American Psychology-Law Society

We are extremely proud and pleased to announce that our postdoctoral researcher, Dr Dilhan Töredi, has been awarded the Grant-in-Aid for Early Career Professionals by the American Psychology-Law Society!

Dr Töredi’s study is titled “Trust and Technology: Rethinking Interpretation in Asylum Interviews” and aims to disentangle the effects of trust and confidentiality concerns from those arising from interpretation quality and other cross-cultural influences in interpreter-mediated asylum interviews. The study will employ an empirical investigation using AI as a methodological tool to isolate and examine these influences. The grant will facilitate a comprehensive pilot study designed to generate preliminary evidence and insights that will inform the development of a larger, more systematic project with multiple studies.
