SOS Baltic Sea Art-Science CoLab is an interdisciplinary community that connects artists, researchers, and practitioners working on the future of the Baltic Sea, marine environments, biodiversity, and archipelago regions.
The CoLab creates opportunities for people from different disciplines to meet, exchange knowledge, develop collaborative projects, and explore new ways of addressing environmental challenges through artistic, scientific, and societal perspectives.
Initiated by the Centre for Sustainable Ocean Science (SOS) at Åbo Akademi University, the CoLab draws on SOS’s interdisciplinary research while welcoming participants from universities, cultural organisations, public institutions, NGOs, and independent practice.
Members can participate in workshops, thematic discussions, project matchmaking, funding and collaboration opportunities, research activities, and a growing network of people working across disciplines. The community continues to evolve in response to its members’ interests, needs, and ideas.
We welcome artists, researchers, students, cultural practitioners, and professionals from all disciplines who are interested in collaborative approaches to marine, biodiversity, and sustainability challenges.
