We are very excited that our researchers will be presenting at the PALOMA Research Network’s seminar on Thursday 15th of May at 14.00-15.30.

The topic of the seminar is – “The psychology of asylum interviewing and decision-making: Findings from Finland”. There will be two presentations from our research group including:
Postdoctoral researcher, Jenny Skrifvars, Åbo Akademi. Jenny will present the results of a recent training program she delivered to asylum interviewers and a survey study involving interviewers, interpreters, and asylum applicants.
Doctoral researcher Hedayat Selim, Åbo Akademi. Hedayat will discuss the current issues in asylum interviewing and decision-making in Finland, focusing primarily on cases based on sexual orientation.
