The NCSR conference has officially begun in Turku, bringing together researchers from across the Nordic countries and beyond to explore themes of marginalization, vulnerability, and social exclusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The conference launched with a welcome word from the conference organizers, followed by an insightful keynote from Associate Prof. Birgitte Schepelern Johansen\u202f<\/a>\u00a0about the\u00a0art\u00a0and ethics of listening<\/a>, setting the stage for the discussions and exchanges that continue throughout the conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The day continued with parallel sessions where researchers presented and discussed their work and concluded with a City of Turku welcome reception hosted by Mari Lahti<\/a>, 1st Vice Chairperson of the city council, who welcomed the NCSR participants to the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The conference continues through August 14, with a keynote presentation from Professor Nando Sigona<\/a>, panel discussion<\/a>, and further parallel sessions over the coming days.<\/p>\n\n\n
