This includes methodological aspects of research on underrepresented populations, specifically the marginalised, vulnerable and socially excluded.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Focus areas include:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Innovative methods for the sociology of religion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advances and new potential applications in quantitative methods.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Multi- and mixed methods and similar approaches.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participatory and arts-based approaches.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Challenges in researching underrepresented, vulnerable and hard-to-reach populations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assumptions underpinning research design.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Broader methodological aspects of research designs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dissemination of research and creation of meaningful knowledge reaching back to the communities studied.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The relationship between \u201cold\u201d established methods and more novel ones, and\/or updating \u201cold\u201d methods.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In short, we call for session proposals that foster critical inquiry into methodological issues, thereby providing foundations for a deeper, more inclusive sociology of religion that actively engages with the complexity and diversity of contemporary lived realities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The NCSR 2026 Call for Sessions We welcome session proposals on any topic of general interest in the sociology of religion, but particularly invite proposals relating to the conference theme.
