The Call for Papers to the 27th Nordic Conference in the Sociology of Religion (NCSR 2026) is Now Open!  

The NCSR 2026 conference has opened the call for papers. The theme of the conference is Research Approaches, Design and Methodology in the Sociology of Religion: Centering the Marginalized, Vulnerable and Socially Excluded. You can find more information about the call for papers and sessions by clicking the links.

More information will follow in Spring 2026 about the conference registration, but please note that registration also requires membership to the Nordic Association for the Sociology of Religion. More information about how to become a member can be found on the association’s website.  

Please submit your final 300-word (max.) abstracts as a Microsoft Word document or a PDF file by email to the session chair(s) by February 1, 2026. The chairs’ contact information can be found under the abstract in the sessions section on the website.
