PhD defence: Qingbo Wang

On September 20th, 2024, MSc Qingbo Wang successfully defended his doctoral thesis entitled ‘Wood-Derived Functional Biomaterials towards 3D Bioprinting’. Docent Xiaoju Wang, PI in MADNESS, acted as the Custos and Dr. Gilberto De Freitas Siqueira from EMPA-Swiss Federal Laboratories was the respected opponent. Qingbo’s thesis work is a large part of the RCoF Academy Research Fellow Project (SusCellInk Sustainable nanocellulose-based bioinks towards diverse material functionalities and therapeutic delivery of bioactive cues). Qingbo has carried out his ‘hybrid’ research bilaterally on the premise of Laboratory of Natural Materials Technology (NMT) and Pharmaceutical Sciences Laboratory (PSL).
