We are thrilled to announce the Health Innovation Challenge course (5 ECTS), offered in collaboration with SPARK Finland and Tampere University during fall 2025. Students from the University of Turku and Åbo Akademi are welcome to apply!
The course contains innovating from real life challenges, study sessions, team learning, and prerecorded lectures related to the developing innovations around Health space of the course as well as learning diary and course assignment which are mandatory for getting credits from the course. This fall’s implementation focuses on Motivational solutions to promote health and rehabilitation.
After the course, you
- have basic understanding of different aspects of product design in Health
- have gained interesting insights to areas of promoting health and patient rehabilitation
- have gained knowledge of e.g. team building, product development process and design thinking, proof-of-concept and product-market-fit, IPR, HealthTech regulation, and how they all are related to the field around health
- have learned together and worked in teams to develop a solution using real-life challenges in the area

- Who can apply: Master’s and doctoral students from SPARK Finland associated HEIs.
