Building ocean literacy amongst communities or groups of individuals is an approach to encourage responsible public behaviour towards the ocean and its resources. Her background is in marine interdisciplinary research, and she has collaborated widely on applied initiatives in Australia and elsewhere. Today, her focus and passion is ocean literacy \u2013 understanding people\u2019s connections to the ocean, and leading teams and initiatives that support these ocean connections and the human dimensions of ocean sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\"><em>The Sea Seminar series is a collaboration between the \u00c5AU profiling area <a href=\"https:\/\/www.abo.fi\/en\/the-sea\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Sea<\/a> and SOS.
